In short. Spitz and primitive type dogs are among the oldest and most natural breed groups. They often have thick coats, pointed ears, and curled tails. Many of these breeds retain strong instincts and independent thinking. They are typically alert, resilient, and well-adapted to harsh climates. Some are highly social, while others are more reserved and self-reliant. These dogs often require understanding and respectful training approaches. Their behavior can feel more instinct-driven compared to other groups. With the right environment, they are loyal, fascinating, and deeply expressive companions.
