Foundation Stock Service
The FSS registers breeds not yet eligible for full AKC recognition, allowing breeders to track pedigrees. FSS dogs are often rare and in early breed development stages. They can participate in events but not earn championship points. Breeders work to preserve these rare breeds' traits while ensuring health and standard conformation.
